Thank you so much, Kym. I love to hear you say you'll have to re-read. That's the comment I make when I'm really struck by something. I know I am always in need of this reminder myself.
"I have learned that the good is not always a solution. The good is His presence in the absence of a solution." I love this. What a beautiful piece about honestly recognizing your own sorrow and the sorrows of your children and finding ways to seek God in the midst of it.
Wow, this is so good. I’m sure I’ll be coming back and reading this one again in the future. Thanks for writing it. To answer one of your questions, one Scripture I come to in moments of suffering is Romans 8:28, kinda cliche but there’s a reason it’s cliche. All things work towards God’s good ends, namely our Christlikeness.
Yes, and I am so thankful His promises are sure even when they seem to be at odds with what I am experiencing. He is at work in all of it for our ultimate benefit. Thanks for your comment, Levi!
Amber, Your words are life-giving, & I’m sharing with others who are in the grieving now. Your words are balm. Pouring out my heart to Christ, not to self or others, is my aim. It is the Best Life-giving, Restorative action I can take. Your words provide an Inroad to His heart. Thank You! 🙏🏽
I think I need to reread this a couple of times as a reminder. This is beautiful Amber! And such an encouragment..

The goodbyes are very difficult ❤️
Yes, thank you for seeing this. It’s tough ♥️

It's something I think I will always struggle with, but it was good for me to get these reminders down. Thanks for reading and commenting, Kathleen.
